Getting Started

  1. Open Gradescope and choose “Problem Set 0: Scratch”. Click “Grade Submissions” in the left-hand column.
  2. Hover over the “Reviewed” question, until you see “Submissions” appear. Click that link.
  3. Sort the submissions by Section, then find your name. Click your name to pull up only those students assigned to you to grade
  4. For each of the students you’ve been assigned, download their submission and upload it to scratch.mit.edu. You can do so by creating a new Scratch project and choosing “File” > “Load from your computer”. You need only create one new project, as you can continue to load new projects into the workspace, overwriting any previous projects you’ve uploaded.

What to Look For

Your written feedback should be about 2–3 sentences. You can choose to do any of the following (and more!) in your written feedback:

  • Connect the student to another student with a similar project or similar interests
  • Affirm the student’s interest in the topic on which they made their Scratch project
  • Suggest another block (or approach) the student may have been able to use
  • Encourage the student to continue working on the project
  • Ask the student what they might do if they were to continue working on the project.
